Retreats

At Newman Catholic College, retreats are an essential part of the faith journey for our students. Retreats at Newman Catholic College take place in Year 7 and Year 10.

Our Year 7 Retreat is a time of reflection, prayer, and community-building as students transition into high school. Held at Genazzano Retreat and Conference Centre on Tinaroo Dam, this retreat allows students to deepen their connection with God, their peers, and the Newman community through guided activities, personal reflection, and a special Class Mass.

For Year 10, the retreat experience is a moment of spiritual renewal and deeper engagement with faith. Through scripture, creation, and personal reflection, students are invited to encounter and identify with God in new and meaningful ways in their lives. This retreat focuses on leadership, service, and preparing students for the final years of their high school journey.

Both retreats are vital in building a sense of belonging, personal growth, and spiritual formation, aligning with our school's commitment to nurturing students in faith and community.
