Liturgical Celebration Dates

At Newman Catholic College, our faith is at the heart of everything we do. Throughout the year, we gather as a community to celebrate key moments in the liturgical calendar.

  • Opening Mass (Term 1) – A special celebration to welcome students and staff into the new school year.
  • Ash Wednesday Liturgy (Term 1) – A time for reflection as we begin the Lenten season.
  • Holy Week Liturgy (Term 1) – A time for introspection during the Holy week period.
  • Easter Liturgy (Term 2) – Commemorating the Resurrection of Christ and celebrating the hope of Easter.
  • Pentecost Liturgy (Term 2) – Marking the descent of the Holy Spirit and renewal of faith.
  • The Assumption of Mary Mass (Term 3) – Honouring the Blessed Virgin Mary.
  • John Henry Newman Feast  Celebration and Mass (Term 4) – Celebrating and Honouring Patron, Saint John Henry Newman.
  • End-of-Year Mass (Term 4) – A joyful conclusion to the school year, celebrating achievements and blessings.
