F@N is a group of parents and carers who volunteer their time to provide opportunities to build community and connections with our college's families. The F@N organises one special event every school term for students and their families. We support staff with hands-on help at college events and we care for staff well-being through various projects. F@N also helps to fund projects around the college that benefit the students.
Our team is a welcoming and inclusive community that values the input of every member. It is made up of an Executive Committee, parent volunteers, a Diocesan representative, representatives from the College Board, and the Capital Works Committee. Our College Principal and College Leadership team also play an important role in supporting F@N.
F@N is a growing and vibrant team, within a growing college community, and we are excited about our potential impact within our college. Every college parent & carer is a “member” of the F@N, and we invite you to attend our meetings to discover ways to be involved. We meet at the College on the second Monday of each month, during the school term, at 6.30pm.
We always encourage parents and carers to help with event organisation and delivery. We’d love to hear from you about fundraising ideas, any skills you possess or a business connection you have—such as musical talent, a food or coffee van, design skills, or just some spare time to be involved. By volunteering with F@N, you are helping to create history—our Newman Catholic College history!
Please join our Facebook page, “Newman College Families.” It is a place to ask questions and learn about upcoming events.
